Cheyenne Thug's nickname is Sosha, which in Greek means Statue! His profile is classic beauty, but he is seldom motionless! We have fostered him for a few weeks now, and have loved him from the start. We have two adopted greyhounds that are in their senior years and very healthy. Sosha had no trouble joining the pack and the three walk shoulder to shoulder on leash. Where one Goes they all Go! We have no fenced in yard so we walk them around the house or down the block and back 3 or 4 times a day.

Sosha has never had an accident in our house, and we have not had a need to pull a crate out of storage for him. He is a fast eater and eats 2 cups of kibble twice daily. We supplement his diet with 2 tablespoons of lowfat vanilla yogurt daily and give him CoQ10, MSM, Garlic, and a multivitamin embedded in crunchy peanut butter daily. Sosha's coat was poor when we got him, I think from poor diet, and feels much better now, and his coat is glossy; and we hope will return to that of his picture. He is developing the usual silver face mask as he gets older, but still has the energy of a puppy. Sosha loves stuffed toys and treats and is very playful. He has excellent oral health and loves eating dry kibble. He seems to be thriving on Rachel Ray's Nutrish kibble.

If Sosha needs a walk, he will come up to you and stare at you. You can drown in those eyes. If you don't take the hint he will whine. We usually walk them around midnight and the three of them are good til 7-8 am.
Sosha will come to my bedside and if I am asleep, he will nuzzle my ear. He is very affectionate and loving.

Sosha would be a great addition to someone who lives in an apartment or home with no fenced yard because he is used to doing his business on leash. He walks well on leash, never straining. We are close to the Suwanee town center park where I walk the three of them a few times a week. We encounter other dogs on leash and Sosha loves to touch noses with them all. He is also excellent with small children. He loves to lean on larger people and kiss them if their face is low enough.

Sosha travels very well, usually falling asleep in minutes. He will jump into our van with no hesitation, where I have a cushion for each hound.

Sosha is accustomed to being with either people or other dogs. We have left him free to roam the house with our other 2 greyhounds for 4 to 5 hours with no accidents or mischief while we were gone. His previous family had no crate for him and had no problems either. He would do best in a home with people around most of the time or with other pets available for company.

Sosha never gets on furniture and can not be coaxed to get in bed. He was probably scolded for doing that by the previous family. We find it very hard to avoid spoiling him for his next forever home.

Ginny dogsat Cheyenne Thug while his foster was out of town. This is what Ginny had to say about this sweet boy:

"This sweetie has been visiting us while his foster family is on vacation. First, who named this boy Thug??? Bug is much better. I've been calling him Doodle Bug. He's cute, curious, good natured and fun. He walks well on a leash, eats well, loves to have his ears scratched and fits in really well with our other greyhounds. He is a quick learner, good at following the rules of the house. I agree - he is cute as a bug! "

Thug is cute as a "Bug"

Wow, is this boy a cutie pie. He is not a thug at all. I'd have to call him Bug instead. I got a chance to visit with him at the kennel this evening. He LOVES attention. He has a sweet adorable, kissable face. He gives kisses in return too. He got some extra time out while his kennel was being ready for him before bedtime.

He had a great time playing with a stuffie. He carried it around in his mouth. When it was bedtime he tried to convince us he should take it to bed with him. We told him no and he finally accepted it.

If you are looking for a snuggley, loving boy, this adorable brindle might just be the one.
